MUSIC FOR

PARTIES
         Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, reunion, or just a get-together with friends, music always makes it better. Impress your friends with live music and tunes from Billy Joel to Frank Sinatra or even some Garth Brooks.

         If you really want to spice it up, I can also add a drummer for your event. Only two people, but it sounds like a band and we fit in your house or on your deck.

DINNERS
         When you simply want to share a quiet evening with friends or your organization, dinner music provides the perfect atmosphere of class. Whether in a restaurant or banquet hall, you can hear your favorite standards as you enjoy the company of friends, co-workers, and loved ones.

         Consider a combination of the two: quiet dinner music followed by the rest of the party for an unforgettable evening of fellowship, food, and dancing.

FUNERALS
         My experience as a church musician qualifies me to provide the proper tone for funeral services. There are times when a memorial service is held at a funeral home or another place other than the church. While I can certainly provide music in a church, I can also offer music elsewhere with my portable keyboard. This allows for more customization of music that can enhance the celebration of a loved one's life and may not be restricted to sacred music.

         Also, as friends and family gather after ward for a time of refreshment, consider live music to help lift the spirit in an otherwise somber time. Music has healing powers unlike anything else. What a kind and thoughtful gift for honoring a loved one.

LESSONS

PIANO
         Custom private lessons tailored to your experiences and goals provide you with the tools you need to achieve your musical dreams. Available methods include standard sequential training with classical literature, chord approach with pop songs, or a combination of both. You let me know your interests and we will proceed from there.

MIDI/KEYBOARD TECHNOLOGY
         The days of a piano in everyone's house has come and gone. Keyboards are the instruments of choice for many families with beginning students for many reasons. While each keyboard is unique, there are many common concepts that are universal such as MIDI. This technology enables communication from one keyboard to another or to computer and is often a mystery to the owner. Learn how to maximize the use of your investment to record, save, and enjoy your music in ways that an acoustic piano cannot offer.

ORGAN
         While the organ and piano are both keyboard instruments, the similarities often end there. Learn the joys of playing the King of Instruments. If you already possess piano skills, you will easily transfer to the organ. If you don't, you can start from the beginning and study organ technique and music reading simultaneously. My method is a practical approach to the organ for personal enjoyment or to quickly gain employment as a church musician. There is an incredible shortage in this field and employment is readily available even for those with moderate skills. I will cover not only the technique, but also the professional implications of being a church organist if that is your goal.

ARRANGING

         Did you write a song and need an arrangement for your performance or recording? If you would like to have the song written out so each musician can play it, I can help. I can also provide an example of this arrangement so everyone can hear it. This is a cooperative effort and you, the artist, are in control of your song. I provide the tools to get it to the next level. Don't let your talent go unnoticed.

STUDIO WORK

         I am available to provide piano/keyboard elements necessary to enhance your recording endeavors. My experience with many styles of music enables me to provide you with just the right sound you need to finish your recording project. With my knowledge of MIDI and arranging, I can even provide tracks that would cost much more if you would hire an orchestra.
